Drop Procedures
If you find it necessary to discontinue attendance after registration closes, you must submit an add/drop form at the Student Services Center indicating the drop(s) immediately. It is your responsibility or your representative’s to notify the university of the drop(s) by submitting the form to the Student Services Center during the term. Failure to do so will result in a failing grade in all classes. (See refund section and calendar dates).
You will not be permitted to drop classes during the final three days of classes except in such cases as accident and serious illness where the reason for dropping is due to circumstances beyond your control. For drops during the last three days, you are required to do the following:
- Obtain Registration/Drop Form at www.winter.sjsu.edu
- Obtain the chairperson and instructor signatures
- Obtain the approval of the IES Associate Dean
- Submit the completed drop form to the Student Services Center
