SJSU Student ID Card

Open University students will be issued Student ID Cards after submitting their registration at the Student Services Center. This card contains your SJSU ID number and the term you are enrolled in. To protect your privacy, this SJSU ID number replaces the use of Social Security Number for most SJSU transactions. This number cannot be changed.

• If you submit your registration in person, a User ID will  be generated within an hour, allowing you to pay your fees via online. View payment options available on the Registration page or payment form. If you register by fax or by mail, expect your ID cards in the mail within 10 working days
• If you have not received your ID card or if your ID card is unavailable, your registration receipt along with a government-issued ID will be considered proof of enrollment
• If you loose your SJSU ID card or cannot remember your SJSU ID number, contact CMSHelp@sjsu.edu for assistance

Your term-specific SJSU ID card is your proof of enrollment and allows you to purchase a parking permit at the Parking Services as well as gain access to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., library as a registered student.
