Center for Distributed Education

eCampus supports SJSU faculty in the effective use of Web-based tools, resources and practices to enhance teaching and learning. More than 100 faculty and 250 courses are involved each semester as eCampus strengthens its focus to develop online, blended online, and onsite programs that meet the needs of the SJSU community.

Learning is extended beyond the physical classroom, allowing access to tools and resources that support collaboration, communication and development of community, leading to powerful interactive learning.

The GS promotes global dialogues and learning among students and faculty, at SJSU and throughout the world. GS supports the Global Studies B.A. degree housed in the College of Social Sciences and encourages the incorporation of international understanding into all disciplines. GS aims to equip tomorrow’s graduates to live, work and grow professionally, anywhere in the world.

IPS comprises three units:

Among IPSS programs and activities are orientations for international students as well as study abroad and exchange participants, two International Weeks annually, Study Abroad Fairs, International House coffee nights and intercultural workshops.

PD offers short-term noncredit courses and certificate programs in the evenings, on weekends and online to accommodate the needs of mid-career adults and those seeking new careers. Programs include courses and certificate programs in business, construction specialties, event and meeting planning, human resources, project management and purchasing/supply chain management.

SJSU Salzburg Program

The SJSU Salzburg Program connects SJSU faculty to the Salzburg Seminar link outside http://ies.sjsu.edu in Austria, to challenge present and future leaders to solve issues of global concern.
